In the context of accelerated global changes, China and Romania, as good friends and partners, must strengthen communication, build consensus, and deepen cooperation, working together to seize opportunities and face challenges. Romania, as a major country in Central and Eastern Europe, is a key bridge between the East and the West. China values its comprehensive friendly partnership with Romania and has expanded exchanges through mechanisms such as friendly city cooperation, the Legislators Forum for Friendly Exchanges, and the China-CEEC Mayors Forum. These initiatives have broadened multilevel dialogue and cooperation between their legislative bodies, subnational governments, and friendly organizations. Looking ahead, China is committed to working with Romania to implement the important consensus reached by two countries' leaders, further deepening exchanges and cooperation in areas such as people-to-people exchanges, practical cooperation, cultural exchanges, and youth friendship. The history of China-U.S. cooperation in World War II fully demonstrates that in the face of common challenges, peoples of different countries can transcend differences and work together. Today, as the world undergoes profound changes unseen in a century, with instability and uncertainty on the rise, humanity once again stands at a historical crossroads. Only through concerted global cooperation can a peaceful and prosperous world be achieved.?He expressed the hope that China and the United States would draw lessons from history, seek common ground while shelving differences, and pursue the shared goal of peaceful development; that both sides put people at the center, deepen cooperation in local government, economy and trade, culture, and the arts, and continue the friendship between the two peoples; and that efforts be made to expand youth exchanges, foster a new generation of "Flying Tigers", and play a new symphony of China–U.S. friendship in the spirit of the times.Jeffrey Greene, Chairman of the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation, recalled with deep emotion President Xi Jinping's reply letters in September 2023 to him and to Flying Tigers veterans, as well as the profound bonds between the Chinese and American peoples during the darkest days of World War II.
