On November 7, 2025, the 2025 Forum on China-Africa Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation was held in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. Ding Zhongli, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress; Yang Wanming, President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC); Wang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee; Zhu Chonglie, Secretary of the CPC Jinhua Municipal Committee; Daniel Mukoko Samba, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo; and Chakil Aboobabcar, the Secretary-General of the Mozambique Liberation Front Party (FRELIMO), attended the forum and delivered remarks. Representatives from the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as government officials, diplomats, experts, scholars, business associations, and representatives from enterprises from 37 African countries, totaling approximately 400 participants, attended the forum.

In his remarks, President Yang Wanming emphasized that China and Africa are close partners, sharing a bond of mutual destiny. He noted that in recent years, under the strategic guidance and direct efforts of President Xi Jinping and the leaders of African countries, China-Africa relations have been elevated to an "all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era", entering the best period in history and bringing new opportunities for cooperation.
President Yang highlighted that 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Africa. The year has been designated as the "China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges", a significant consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and African leaders during the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. As the lead agency for the Year of People-to-People Exchanges, the CPAFFC will continue to build more bridges for people-to-people exchanges, practical cooperation, cultural exchanges, and youth friendship. The CPAFFC extends a warm welcome to all sectors from both China and Africa to engage through culture and sincere interactions, jointly crafting a magnificent vision of mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Africa.
The Forum on China-Africa Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation is a key event under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and has been successfully held for eight consecutive years. The forum, centered around the theme "Economic and Trade Prosperity, Cultural Mutual Learning, Win-Win Partnerships, and People-to-People Bonds", aims to discuss development, cooperation, and friendship. During the forum, an investment environment promotion conference for African countries was held, and the Chinese Investment in Africa Report 2025 was released. A total of 33 cooperation projects valued at total RMB 40.105 billion were signed.
